Many thanks for all your good wishes following my rather premature hip replacement surgery on 11th December. As many of you know this was as a result of an injury which I received when I fell from a horse 6 years ago. I now know that 40 was too old to get my first horse and that some skills are best picked up as a child.
The surgery was performed by Mr Denis Collins at the Sports Surgery Clinic in Santry on 11th December and went very well. In the photo above you can see me attempting to smile on crutches only 12 hours after surgery. Following a relaxing Christmas with some very pleasant walks on Curracloe beach, I returned to work on 2nd January and it’s been business as usual ever since.
